Troy Nichols is one of the Co-Founder's of NeXXLevel. Together with partner Pierre Harris, they build what was has now become Southwest Florida's Hottest, most sought after dance/party band.

His love for music began at a very young age. He started singing to entertain his Mothers' Tupperware parties at the age of 3. His Mother was close friends with an area disc jockey Carl Helm so there were frequent trips to the radio station WDAS in Philadelphia where his love and appreciation for music blossomed. He showed promise so his mother enrolled him in the Yamaha School of music at the age of 5.

The place where his talent was allowed to really grow however, was in the church. He sang in the church adult choir at the age of 11 and continued that for the next 15 years. He would eventually learn to direct and teach the choir himself and has done that for many churches in his youth. He was ordained at 24 years old and led the churches praise and worship for many years. He began becoming more involved with community activities later in life , but has always been a part of benefits and fundraisers to better the condition of his community.

Troy moved to Florida in 1999 and began working with a local band, this would begin another avenue for him to cultivate and distribute his God given talents.

He formed his own band Nexxlevel, in 2011 along with friend and business partner Pierre B. Harris. Since the bands inception they have worked tirelessly within the community donating their time and talent to such organizations as Second Chance Last Opportunity, Sertoma Group, The Boys and Girls Club, Harvest Tabernacle, The Susan G. Komen Foundation, Relay for Life, The Light the Night Foundation Lymphoma and Leukemia Society and many others.

In 2014 Troy was asked to write a jingle for Sarasota County Area Transit and appear in the commercial for the same. That commercial won the best of the best award among Florida County area transits and is being shown on Comcast at this time.

Troy also hosts a weekly radio show for the local Community Radio Station Wslr 96.5 Sarasota where he does a weekly show called Tuesday Morning Soul School from 7am to 9am.
